Parking Vancouver Airport (YVR)

All the information featured on this page was compiled and written by David Enrich, a renowned expert in aviation and airport guides, since 1999.

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) offers a wide range of parking options designed to suit short stays, long-term travel, and budget-conscious passengers. Whether you are dropping someone off, traveling for several days, or looking for the most economical option, YVR provides convenient and well-connected facilities.

Parkade (Short-Term & Premium Parking)

The Parkade is the closest parking option to the Main Terminal, ideal for short stays, business trips, or passengers who value convenience.

Rates:

  • Half Hour: $5
  • Hourly: $10
  • Daily: $36.75
  • Weekly: $204.75

(All prices include taxes)

This facility is directly connected to the terminal via covered walkways, allowing quick and easy access.

If you are staying less than a day or carrying heavy luggage, the Parkade is the most convenient option despite the higher price.

Payment can be made quickly using self-service express pay machines located near pedestrian entrances.

Electric Vehicle Parking

Electric vehicle (EV) users will find charging stations on Level 1 of the Parkade, with no additional fee beyond standard parking rates.

EV spaces are limited, so it is recommended to arrive early during peak travel periods.

Value Long Term Parking

The Value Long Term lot is the most economical option for extended stays. It is located farther from the terminal but well connected by public transport.

Rates:

  • Hourly: $4.25
  • Daily: $27.50
  • Weekly: $153.50

Passengers can access the terminal via the Canada Line SkyTrain, running every 7–20 minutes between approximately 05:10 AM and 01:27 AM from Templeton Station to YVR.

Outside these hours, a free shuttle service operates.

This is the best choice for trips longer than 3–4 days, offering significant savings compared to the Parkade.

Airport South Parking

This parking area mainly serves the South Terminal, used for regional and charter flights.

Rates:

  • Hourly: Main: $4.25 | Overflow: $3.75
  • Daily: Main: $12.50 | Overflow: $8.50

If you are flying from the South Terminal, this is the closest and most practical option.

JetSet Self Park (Off-Airport Option)

JetSet is a pre-booked parking service located off-site. It requires a shuttle transfer to the terminals but often offers competitive pricing.

Booking online in advance is essential and can help secure lower rates, especially during peak seasons.

Bicycle Parking

YVR also supports sustainable transport with multiple bicycle parking locations, including:

  • International Terminal (Arrivals Level roadway)
  • Templeton Canada Line Station
  • Sea Island Station (Miller Road entrance)
  • South Terminal Building
  • Larry Berg Flight Path Park (includes repair station and bike pump)

Cycling to the airport is a practical option for local travelers, especially during good weather.

Additional Tips for Parking at YVR

  • Book parking online when possible to save time and sometimes money
  • Allow extra time during holidays and peak travel periods
  • Take note of your parking location (level and zone) to avoid delays on return
  • Consider public transport if staying in downtown Vancouver, as the Canada Line connects directly to the airport
